Of course there is an ancient Scottish art of finding moles in golf courses.

What I love about this in an odd way is that all of these fighting techniques tend to be used by smaller and weaker people. In the first two: you get them off balance, take them by surprise. In three and four: incapacitating someone so they can’t continue to harm you. Five and six: again, surprise and using nearby objects because if they can’t get to you, they can’t hit you. Finally, the last two: overturn their center of gravity, get them off balance, get them to fall.
These are all things Steve should have been taught before he went standing up to bullies and they are all things that Peggy Carter made sure he knew when he was big enough to keep bullies from hurting other people.

She taught Steve before he was big. She didn’t know (and if she had an idea, she definitely didn’t know for certain) that he was ever going to get big. She taught little Steve Rogers how to fight, because everyone else at basic training treated his presence like a joke, and because she was hands down the most qualified.

Or course Steve already knew how to fight, but he knew how to fight like a big muscular person, which he wasn’t. Most of his knowledge of fighting came from being hit by other people, by bigger people, by men. You can bet Bucky tried to teach him, but Bucky was big and strong and not qualified to know what would work best for STEVE.

Peggy Carter taught Steve to fight within his abilities, within his limitations, USING his size to his advantage. Be fast, be resourceful, bend your knees and get low and use their momentum against them, and when it gets serious fight dirty.

Peggy Carter taught Steve Rogers to fight like a woman, and that is why he always fucking wins.

This commentary is the greatest fucking thing.

Jason Miller is the type of conservative who cheats on his wife, kills his unborn lovechild by posion, and will NEVER be renounced by evangelicals.

Oh, didn’t you hear? As far as evangelicals are concerned, abortion is totally fine when men do it! It was never about protecting fetuses at all! It’s been about controlling women this whole time.

Also someone can correct me of I’m wrong to be concerned about this, but how could he have gotten the info needed to ensure a proper dose to avoid medical complications? He not only violated her bodily autonomy at best, but he could have caused a medical emergency on top of that. Abortion is often perfectly safe, esp when done waelt, but only if the pregnant woman gives informed consent to someone who knows what the fuck they’re doing.

honestly does it ever strike y’all how a lot of misogyny isn’t even “i hate women, they need to die” misogyny, but just a normalized belief in women’s innate inferiority? men don’t even have to explicitly state they think women are inferior, they let us know in their everyday words. like how “you cry/throw/act like a girl” has become an accepted way of saying “you are exhibiting weak behavior. do better.” and how casually men call women bitches and whores but there are literally no male equivalents of those slurs. if a man is called a “bitch” it means he’s imitating a woman, which is bad, and a man being called a “whore” is always referred to as a “man whore” because the word literally has been used in a way that makes women its main target.

for fuck’s sake, for a long time in american culture we used go call tank tops “wife beaters”. so much of misogyny is casual. like women are just living our lives with a deep understanding that men think we’re below them and always will be because our very existence is turned into insults to encourage men to “act like men”.

LADIES BE CAREFUL OUT THERE, NOT JUST IN ORLANDO!

Reblog to save life.

I’m going to post this everywhere.

Orlando is a huge tourist destinations and at both my old jobs in super busy hotels, we had a meeting about sex trafficking alone and the signs that there might be offenders in the hotel and what signs to look for from both the offender and the victim and a friend I worked actually stop someone at the front desk and I can’t remember what ended up happening but it happens and be careful and not only if you live in Orlando.
