This is actually A+ cat management.

“Mirroring” is a big thing with cats. It’s why they will lay in similar positions several feet apart, or will come and try to do things when you do them.
It’s a sign that they love you and want to show.

This cat wants to be close to its owner, and also wants to do what its owner is doing, to be involved in some way.

Giving them their own thing to use is a really great way to redirect them and allow them to mirror the behavior in a non-disruptive way that frustrates neither party.

This is a GOOD IDEA.

Got something you need to do at a certain time every day (e.g., take meds)?  Start giving your cat a treat right before you do it.  You may have trouble remembering, but your cat absolutely will not.

This might be the most genius idea I’ve ever read.

FYI, cats do not understand daylight savings time, so keep that your schedule will be an hour off for half a year.

I didn’t know cheetahs meow I’ve always thought they roar my whole life has been a lie

Ok but the other one is purring so hard

If I ever don’t reblog this assume I’m dead

Fun fact: technically, because of its inability to roar and its ability to purr, the cheetah is not a ‘big cat’ (or Great Cat) – they are still classified as Lesser Cats.

Also you haven’t heard anything until you hear them cheep.

YOU CANNOT JUST SAY THAT AND NOT PROVIDE A VIDEO

I HAVE REALISED MY MISTAKE AND SHALL RECTIFY IT:

Cheeps.

Oh my god

I’m dead now

Mommy teaching babby easier water drinking way because drinking water is hard experience u get it in your nose. Jesus how she puts her paw on his head in the second one. Such concern and love.

THIS IS THE CUTEST THING I HAVE EVER FUCKING SEEN FROM CATS EVER

I’ve watched many foster kittens learning to eat and drink real food and water who do the “dip method” at first b/c they are so uncoordinated and sort of top heavy that they will smash their faces into the bowls.  It’s pretty adorable, if messy.

the loveliest meowing of them all

A BABY

[a wonderful milkmaiden]: Mrrmeow?
[the milkmaiden]: Mrrpmeow?
[an entity of the shadow]: (emerges from the shade)
[the delightful maiden]:Mrrp?
[the entity]
]:

(bravely breaks the boundary of the shadow, bravely impeaches it and passes the border of the realm of light in order to be joined with the brave milkmaiden.)
[the entity]: (A high-pitched “mmrp!” of delight)
[the wonderful milkmaiden]: (She decides that this footage is sufficient. The camera man is instantly murdered upon impact.)

SOMEONE (Fenrir) aggravated the snot out of the Senior Ship’s Cat and her yeoman (me) all morning. Frequent blasts from the spray bottle only made her worse. So I chucked her in the shower for two seconds to teach her a lesson and now she’s a purry, sleepy, slightly damp BLESSEDLY MOTIONLESS little ball inside my fuzziest winter blanket.

Mina, who is not used to sharing the fuzzy blanket, is visibly trying to repress her maternal instincts long enough to fight Fenrir for possession of the blanket cave. So far, instinct has reduced her to mumbling under her breath and giving me the side eye, just to show she knows who’s to blame for her entire life. #minafloof #fenrirkitten #catsofinstagram
