I’m trying to figure out what exactly the US thinks this is going to accomplish because

1) we’re already not part of the ICC and signed its creation document with stipulations saying “we’re not part of this”

2) we’re already not part of most international treaties – off the top of my head, the only one I can think of that we have signed is the Refugee Convention and the Convention Against Torture, and

3) on what grounds are they going to prosecute the ICC judges? investigating war crimes isn’t a crime. prosecuting war crimes isn’t a crime. sanctions and banning might well work, we have that authority, but it’s not a smart idea (then again, when has this administration done the smart thing, ever)

this is just pure unmitigated dumbfuckery

This is fucked up.

“As their press duties have continued, Munn said, many of her co-stars have canceled scheduled interviews with her; another, she said, walked out of an interview when the issue of the cut scene came up. When Munn decided to give a comment to the Times, she told Smith, she reached out to all of her co-stars privately to encourage them to make statements of their own. “I wanted them to not be blindsided the way I was blindsided, and I encouraged them to put out a statement once the L.A. Times reached out to us,“ Munn said. “I was surprised that none of them did. Again that’s their prerogative. Right now the reality is that there will be people who wear Time’s Up pins and say they support Time’s Up, [but] there will be people in Time’s Up who aren’t really down with the cause.””

👏👏👏

I… actually have no idea what the context of this is, even after reading a large chunk of the article. Help?

Ok, so Shane Black hired a friend of his who is a convicted sex offender and didn’t tell any of the cast about it and Olivia was piiiiissed and she insisted on having her scene with him cut from the movie and she made a big fuss and some of her costars didn’t really back her play and avoided media with her because they didn’t want any political heat, so she feels hung out to dry.

@smallswingshoes From what I understand, Shane Black CLAIMED he didn’t know why his friend was convicted. He said he was told that his friend was chatting with a young relative and was showering her with compliments and telling her she was beautiful and sexy in order to boost her confidence. The truth was he was chatting with a fourteen year old girl very explicitly. Whether Black knew that or not is irrelevant. He has cast this man in multiple productions, never alerted anyone, and was helping make him a smalltime star.

He never gave anyone any choice in the matter and stars have a different level of power. By making his a small-time action actor, he was making a lot of children look up to a man convincted of preying on kids. It’s really sick.

Fuck anyone who says rape culture doesn’t exist. Stories like this make me hate America more and more for treating women and girls with such dehumanization.

Ross disclosed the rape victim’s address to Mirasolo and ordered Mirasolo’s name to be added to the child’s birth certificate — all without the victim’s consent or a hearing, according to Kiessling.

An assistant prosecutor on this, Eric Scott, told me she had granted her consent, which was a lie — she has never been asked to do this and certainly never signed anything,” Kiessling said.”

They literally gave a rape victim’s address out to the rapist himself. Words cannot describe how disgusted I am with this country’s justice system. There’s something very sinister about American’s desire to protect rapists.

Why are they calling a 12 year old a woman?!

This story is even worse than it looks… Apparently the State started this because she made an application for food stamps??

Please don’t forget this election season that circuit and district judges are also elected officials.

IBM’s back on their bullshit again.

another reminder that white supremacy and capitalism are intrinsically linked

“I mean, we built the database systems the nazis used to organize their death camps to run efficiently, but surely this time constructing a racialized database for an increasingly violent police state will have no negative consequences for anybody, you guys!”

Wow, what if men were held to the same standard of daily cleanliness and personal hygiene as women???

A lot more asses would be getting munched on I know that much

It’s simply not in our nature especially if you do a lot of physically labor. I step out the shower and immediately sweat my clean off.

It’s not in y’all nature to be clean? 😂😂😂

This nigga does not speak for us. Especially a nigga who wants to be known on the internet as oldmcdick

😂😂 yo wtf its not hard to stay clean

NO! I’M TIED lmao like wash yo ass! I can’t take it… These are real people in real areas really talking about why hygiene isn’t possible

a girl on campus came into our BSU common room traumatized and ran up to her friend. i wasn’t ear hustling intentionally, but i heard the shit so oh well

some guy she was talking to had asked her to give him head and she agreed. as she got on her knees her eyes started burning, but the nausea didn’t hit until she was about to start… she asked him “what’s that fuckin’ smell?” and he had the audacity to nonchalantly reply with a “my ass probably…. you not gon’ suck?” and he proceededs to get’s mad and loose his mind when she cusses him out and says “there’s no way i’m putting my mouth on you! you outta your damn mind.” they go back and forth, but eventually he reveals he does not wash his ass because he “don’t do that gay shit” and then says he “won’t make compromises.“ the girl wraps it up by saying she looked down at the boxers at his ankles to see skid marks everywhere in his underwear; further proving his gross ass wasn’t lying…

IF YOU DONT WASH YO ASS , DONT BRING YO ASS OUT MOTHAFUCKIN SIDE!

I quit men.

I quit them.

united states of america: YES

united states of america fist pumping and chanting ‘U’ ‘S’ ‘A’:

capitalism is genocide

i usually don’t add to posts i reblog but as a type 1 diabetic this makes me so fucking angry.

i have an insulin pump. each time i change the port (basically what connects it to my body, similar to an iv) i use about a third of a bottle refilling the cartridge. i change it every three days, so one single, 10ml bottle of insulin lasts me around nine days.

i had to look this up because my parents don’t like to tell me how much my supplies cost. (for reasons like this. i feel guilty for my t1d. i shouldn’t have to feel guilty about an autoimmune disorder i was born with.)

you know how much it is for that one, single 10ml bottle of insulin, for those without any insurance?

$328.

for nine days.

$328 for a nine days supply of the medicine that i literally need to survive. the medicine that once i become an adult and have to take care of myself, i will have to pay for. the medicine that unless, by some miracle, they find a cure, i will need to take for the rest of my life. $328 for nine days of my life.
